
The rabbits seem to have left me one zinnia, close to blooming.
In the foreground are poppies, and further back is a planting of “Orange” (that’s all the label said when I bought them). I don’t usually plant annuals, but those “Orange” did really well, spreading out to fill the planter.
The days are coming when I will long for all this green.
It looks like you have a nice planting of orange impatiens. They have always been a favorite of mine (not orange, specifically, but usually a mix of colors). Ruth J. plants them every year at her lake cottage, which is apparently carrying on a tradition that her mother started.
